Air Quality Advisory
July 15, 2026
Smoke from wildfires is impacting air quality in our region, with the local air quality index (AQI) measurements exceeding 150 on July 15 and 16, which is considered unhealthy for all individuals.
During air quality advisories, outdoor physical activity should be limited to reduce the risk of adverse health effects, especially for people with pre-existing heart or respiratory conditions. More information about air quality resources and protective measures can be found at https://ehs.cornell.edu/occupational-health/outdoor-air-quality.
When AQI exceeds 150, campus units should evaluate outdoor operations and activities scheduled and modify or defer them. Continue to monitor emergency.cornell.edu for updates.
