Cornell Police must be notified immediately if a student is reported missing.
To file a missing person report, contact Cornell Police by calling the Public Safety Communications Center at 607-255-1111 or 5-1111 from a campus phone or by calling 911.
Cornell University provides members of the campus community with the opportunity to contribute confidential emergency contact information to be used if they are officially reported as missing. This confidential contact information is accessible only to authorized campus officials and will not be disclosed, except to law enforcement personnel, in furtherance of a missing person investigation.
Students should maintain their emergency contact information in Student Center using the Emergency Contact link in the Personal Information section.
Employees should maintain their emergency contact information in Workday. From the main Menu choose Personal Information and then click the Emergency Contacts button.
